Who we are

About

An independent science publication covering astronomy and cosmology. Every claim we publish is sourced from peer-reviewed research or primary institutional reporting — and every claim is verifiable.

"The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff."

Cosmos Unveiled is an independent science publication committed to one thing: bringing the discoveries of modern astronomy and cosmology to curious readers — without sacrificing accuracy, depth, or the sense of wonder that makes these fields extraordinary.

We live in a remarkable era. Space telescopes are capturing light from the universe's first billion years. Gravitational-wave detectors are listening to collisions of black holes. Missions are actively preparing to return humans to the Moon. The story of the cosmos has never been more alive.

So much of this science never reaches the readers who would find it genuinely transformative — buried behind paywalls, or simplified into headlines that lose what makes them interesting. That gap is what Cosmos Unveiled was built to close.

01
Accuracy Above All

Every specific claim in every article is traceable to a primary source. We do not publish numbers, dates, or quotations that we cannot verify directly from a peer-reviewed paper or an institutional press release.

02
Depth, Not Simplification

We write for intelligent readers who deserve context, nuance, and the real complexity of how science works — not just the headline version. Our articles are typically 13–18 minutes of reading because the science deserves that time.

03
No Speculation Disguised as Fact

Where the science is contested, we say so. Where there are competing theories, we name them. Where something is not yet known, we do not pretend otherwise. Wonder is stronger when it is honest.

An institutional voice — not a personal blog.

Articles are published under the Cosmos Unveiled Editorial Desk — an institutional byline, not a single author's name. Every piece passes through the same editorial process regardless of who drafted it: research from primary sources, numbers cross-checked against peer-reviewed literature, review before publication.

We publish under an institutional byline by choice. It means that what matters to our readers is the quality of the reporting, not the identity of the reporter — and that every article carries the same standards, consistently, across the publication.

Read more about our editorial process at the Masthead, and about the standards we hold ourselves to at Editorial Standards.

A

Sourcing

We cite peer-reviewed research (Nature, Science, ApJ, MNRAS, A&A, Nature Astronomy), institutional press releases (NASA, ESA, ESO, JAXA), and data from missions and observatories. We do not cite Wikipedia, YouTube transcripts, social media posts, or other science blogs as primary evidence.

B

Verification

Before publication, every specific number in an article is re-verified against its original primary source. Author names, dates of publication, journal citations, and technical claims are all checked. When a figure cannot be verified, it is not published.

C

Transparency

Every article ends with a linked Sources section listing the primary papers and releases used in reporting. If you are ever unsure about a claim, you can go directly to its source.

D

Corrections

When we publish something incorrect, we correct it visibly, promptly, and with a timestamp explaining what changed. Our full policy is published at Corrections.

Focus
Astronomy & Cosmology

From the physics of black holes to the search for exoplanets and the missions expanding humanity's reach — we cover the full breadth of the cosmic science frontier.

Cadence
Daily publication

New articles are published every weekday. Our editorial calendar is paced so that reporting, verification, and writing are never rushed to meet a deadline.

Format
Independent Editorial Publication
